Medication Control Expectation During Current Surveys

  • No medications should be left unsecured. 
  • Respiratory should include missed treatments as medication errors. 
  • First dose medication orders should be reviewed by a pharmacist prior to administration expect in approved circumstances i.e. ordered in an area with 24 hour physician coverage, circumstances when a delay would cause harm or undue suffering.
